Everyone's asking the wrong question about AI.
"What can AI do for me?"
Well… everything.
I've watched dozens of entrepreneurs build their first AI agent based on that question.
They pick something impressive based on an idea or something they saw and then it never actually becomes part of the business.
A much better question is “where do I feel the most overwhelm, pain and frustration?”
That’s where you start.
A simple way I’d recommend you go about this is to just open a note on your phone and call it something like Friction Ledger or Pain log (I’m sure you can come up with better names than me lol).
For one full week, log everything that caused you frustration, drained your energy, or wasted your time.
Every time you copy information between tools, write it down. Every time you chase someone for an update, write it down. Every time you format the same type of content, write it down. Every back-and-forth email thread that follows the same pattern, write it down.
At the end of the week, look at your list and circle the item that checks these 2 boxes:
It happens frequently
It’s reversible and low-risk if AI does it
Then pick the one that causes you the most pain & frustration.
That's your first agent.
Not the flashiest one or the best idea. The one that removes a specific, recurring frustration from your daily work.
When it comes to AI there is a lot of noise so approach it like this: don't build a Swiss Army knife because it can do everything and feels good to have. Build the one screwdriver you actually need to solve your problem.
Here's what's wild about this approach. Once that one piece of friction disappears from your day, you don't need to go hunting for the next automation. You'll feel it. The next frustration rises to the surface naturally because the loudest one is no longer drowning it out.
This is Pain-First Systemization applied to AI.
The same principle I use for building any system: start with whatever hurts the most. Not what's the best idea or most interesting & fun. What causes the most friction, the most wasted time, the most unnecessary energy drain.
AI isn’t going to transform your business overnight. It just needs to remove one recurring friction point at a time over a long period until your systems start to compound.
No fluff. Just systems.
