Why 71% of Notion users are introverts (MBTI analysis)

I analyzed the personality types of my Notion community...

(the 263 who actually had it linked to their Skool profile)

The results? Eye-opening.

71% are introverts.
86% are intuitive.
62% are judgers.

Compare that to the general population where it's roughly 50/50 splits, and you start to see why some people love Notion... and why others default to pen and paper.

Here’s the top 3 Notion Personalities in my community:

  1. INTJ (22.8%) - "The Architect" Strategic, systematic, loves building complex frameworks. They see Notion as digital LEGO for their mind.

  2. INFP (16.0%) - "The Mediator" Values-driven, creative, needs systems that feel personal. They customize Notion until it reflects their inner world.

  3. INFJ (13.7%) - "The Advocate" Visionary but practical. Needs systems that turns their vision into tasks, look good AND work well. (That's me, by the way)

But here’s the real kicker, personality types like mine, the INFJ, is the rarest personality type and yet it’s the 3rd biggest in my community…

Pretty interesting right?

And if you can spot the pattern, you’ll see the top personality types are all introverts and intuitive…

Here’s why Introverts dominate Notion and what most people miss:

Extroverts solve problems by talking them through.
Introverts solve problems by dissecting the process.

When an extrovert is overwhelmed, they call a friend, schedule a meeting, or brainstorm out loud.

When an introvert is overwhelmed, they disappear into their room and build a database.

That's why 71% of my community are introverts.
They're not looking for collaboration tools.
They're looking for thinking tools.

And probably a large part of this big introvert % is because I am an introvert so naturally I attract people like me. I’m sure if an extrovert does Notion tutorials (which you’ll never find), they would attract more extroverts.

And as an INFJ, I need my systems to look good.
(If you’re also an INFJ, maybe you can relate.)

It's not vanity. It's how my brain works.

Feeling types (48% of my community) need emotional connection to their tools.
If it looks ugly or sterile, they won't use it consistently.

*cough…light mode…cough *

That's why I spend hours perfecting the visual design of my Notion dashboard.

It's not procrastination - it's optimization for my personality type.

Maybe that’s one of the reasons why I have some of the most aesthetic Notion templates out there and why so many people have started copying my style.

Either way, it’s always interesting learning more about yourself and in this case, how your personality type affects how you use Notion.

Tomorrow I will share some more insights that I’ve gathered but I need your help…

If you know your personality type, please go to your Skool profile and add it there so I can collect more data on my members and keep sharing interesting insights like this :)

And if you don’t know what your personality type is or want to do a refresher, you can take the MBTI test here:

I hope this was as interesting of an insight as it was for me when I discovered it.

And it’s pretty cool to think that the chances are high that you reading this is an INTJ, INFP or an INFJ and almost certainly not an ESFJ, ESTP, or ESTJ.

Reply below and lemme know what you thought of these insights, would be curious to hear

Cheers to my introverts.
