The concept of content cringe

Progress isn’t always tangible or visible

Tonight, we had a big community dinner here in Bali.

It was half birthday party, half farewell dinner…
but mostly a moment of reflection.

We started talking about how much has changed, not just what we’re doing, but who we’re becoming.

And during my friend’s farewell speech he said something that hit me:

“Progress isn’t always tangible.”

You can’t always measure it in views, followers, or revenue.

Sometimes it’s the clarity you gain.
The confidence you build.
The way you carry yourself differently, even if no one notices.

And often, it only becomes visible when you zoom out and look back one year later and realize you’re a different person now.

We even talked about the concept of content cringe…

If you’re not cringing at the content you posted a year ago then you’re not growing.
You’re going to suck in the beginning, and yes it’s going to be cringe…

But the more you repeat the process, the more consistent you are, the better you get.

“Consistency creates competence”

If you learn to fall in love with the process and stay consistent over a long period of time, you will get better and see results, even if they’re not tangible or visible.

You will get better, and that’s all the matters at the end of the day.

Let the vanity metrics be a byproduct, focus on the person you’re becoming and the skills you’re developing.

So whether you’re starting your content journey or you’re already the best in your industry, keep posting content even if it’s cringe.

The goal isn’t to create perfect content, it’s to show up every day, focus on enjoying & improving the process, and just suck less than the day before, until you’re proud of the content you create.

Stay consistent.

P.S. Sunday we’re moving into our new Bali villa where I’ll finally have a place I can call home after 18 months of travelling and set up my dream studio that will make it as easy as possible to work as hard as possible.

I’ll keep you posted here on the newsletter but be sure to follow me on IG to see some BTS :)
