The 3 People Fighting Inside You

The reason you’re stuck in your business (and how to break free)

Right now, I’m on a road trip in Bulgaria.

We’re on our way to the mountains for a weekend of snowboarding, but we stopped at Shipka, the site of Bulgaria’s final battle for independence against the Ottoman Empire.

As I stood there, I realized…

Entrepreneurs also need to fight for their own liberation.

Because most business owners don’t own a business.
They own a job.

They get trapped inside the thing they built.

Working endless hours, wearing too many hats, and feeling like no matter how hard they work… the business isn’t growing.

Why?

Because there are 3 people fighting inside you at all times.

This comes from the book E-Myth: (highly recommend it)

  1. The Technician – Loves to “do the work.” The graphic designer, the coach, the consultant, the coder, the writer. Most businesses fail because technicians try to work for themselves… without realizing they need more than just skill.

  2. The Manager – Loves to organize. Puts everything in little boxes, makes systems, assigns tasks. Wants things neat and structured.

  3. The Entrepreneur – The visionary. The risk-taker. The one thinking about brand, growth, and impact. Their goal? To get to a point where they no longer have to do the other two roles.

Most people feel stuck because these 3 personalities are at war with each other.

The Technician just wants to build and create.
The Manager keeps nagging, telling them they should be organizing, systemizing, and planning.
And the Entrepreneur is frustrated because neither of them are thinking big enough.

Sound familiar?

If you feel like you’re fighting yourself in business, it’s because you haven’t chosen which role to play.

Tomorrow, I’ll show you how to stop the war, and finally free yourself.

No fluff. Just systems.
