How to X-Ray Your Business Systems (And See What's Broken)

Here's how to X-ray your own business:

Step 1: The Brain Dump Walk

• Grab your phone and open voice memos

• Drive somewhere peaceful in nature where you can walk for 30-60min

• Hit record and pretend you're explaining your entire business to me

• Cover everything: what you do, who you serve, your offers, your processes, your team, your tools, your goals

Talk as if you’re giving me all the information I need to help you systemize your business.

The goal is to extract everything from your head onto a transcript.

Step 2: The AI Analysis

• Take that transcript and paste it into Claude or ChatGPT

• Use this prompt or a version of it: "Analyze this business transcript and create a clear outline of all systems, processes, workflows, and automations this business needs. Don't tell me how to build them - just identify what needs to be systemized."

You'll get a clear outline of all the systems your business needs

Step 3: The Visual Map

• Open Figma (or any whiteboard tool)

• Create boxes for each system you identified

• Connect them with lines showing how they relate

• Color-code by department (blue for operations, red for team management, etc.)

Now you can see your entire business architecture.

Most business owners discover they're missing 60-80% of the systems they actually need.

No wonder everything feels chaotic.

You're not broken. Your business just doesn't have an operating system.
